For those going to the Worlds don't forget that even though the event is held in the UK it is an international event and you will need GBR's on your sail. Teras use small sail numbers so you only need the 230mm size not the full size 300mm size. The most cost effective place I have found to order them is rooster sailing.
Make sure you check your boats over THIS week well ahead of your departure. In checking the boats we are taking I found a rudder cleat with a loose rivet and also a tiller extension UJ that was cracked half way through and which probably wouldn't have survived the week. Good luck and I look forward to seeing you down in Weymouth. We will arrive late which is NOT the ideal preparation having come hot foot from the Feva Worlds in Italy. I trust you guys will have a better preparation. DRY BAGS For those that have dry bags that you want to put in the coaching rib - I would strongly recommend you all do! Please can you decorate or make them unique in some way as they are all generally black so it is hard to find the correct bag with a dozen or swimming in the bottom of a rib if they are all the same and you all finish a race together. Having your sail number prominent is a good idea........ oh and coaches rules.......those in national squad will know this......... once the start gun goes for the start of the last race of the day then dry bags are fair game for coaches to raid! I really like gooey flapjack ...... not sure of Craig's preferences but I am sure you can find out. Mike

AuthorWe are very pleased that Mike Taylor and Hobie Wright from Alton Water and Craig Bond from Brightlingsea are keen to help the Eastern Tera sailors develop and grow with this rapidly growing and very popular national class. The boat is a natural feeder class for the Laser and the Feva and the development of sailing in the UK is heavily dependent on youngsters enjoying their boat and their racing. Archives
