We've now had 25 Pros and 34 Sports compete in the Traveller Series this year, with 7 sailors sailing all the events so far. Four events count to the overall position and it is incredibly tight in both fleets. Currently Matt Smith leads the Pros followed by Caitie and Archie, and Josh leads the Sports followed by Tristan & Matt. In the buddy pairings, Matt & Josh have a comfortable lead, followed by Tristan & Charlie. ![]()
Seven competitors have sailed all the events so far and we have now had 20 pros and 33 sports compete. Matt, Caitie and Charlie are leading the Pros, and Josh, Jack and Harvey the Sports. Four scores count towards the final positions and so discards will kick in after Aldeburgh - still lost to play for in this seasons very close and competitive racing. In the buddy pairings, Matt and Josh have a clear lead on just 27 points. However, it is very close behind them with Tristan & Charlie on 80 and Oscar & Blake on 81, but once the discards kick in, this could all change. ![]()
So far, 47 boats have entered the Eastern Traveller Series from 14 different clubs. In the Pro fleet, Matt is leading by just 2 points from Caitie after 3 events, with Charlie P in 3rd place. In the Sports, fleet, Josh is a clear leader with Harvey in 2nd and Oscar (who has now moved up to the Pro) in 3rd. With Matt and Josh leading the Pro & Sport fleets respectively, it is no surprise that they are the clear leaders in the buddy pairings with just 17 points between them. Oscar & Blake are in 2nd place with 60 points and Charlie & Tristan in 3rd with 64. Remember there are 3 more events - the Eastern Championships at Brightlingsea and the Train & Races at Aldeburgh in September and Alton Water in October. 4 events will count, so there is still plenty to play for. ![]()

Matt and Josh had a storming performance at Dabchicks - both are great sailors in light winds and are clearly leading the buddy pairings. However, it is very close behind them & I have had great feedback from sailors that their buddy pair had been really supportive out on the water which is what this is all about. Currently the standings are:
4: Matt S & Josh 11: Max & Jack O, Charlie P & Tristan 13: Oscar & Blake, James O & Will Car 18: Matt T & Tash 20: Lucy G & Will DT 23: Archie & Alexa 24: Issy & Harvey, Caitlin & Becky 26: Will Cai & Lucy AB 27: Josie & Oliver ![]() ![]() Tera Race and TrainDabchicks Sailing ClubResults are final as of 18:41 on May 4, 2014Overall Sailed: 3, Discards: 0, To count: 3, Entries: 8, Scoring system: Appendix A
